Section 32A of the Registration Act, 1908 requires every person presenting a document for registration to affix a passport-size photograph and fingerprints. Where the document transfers ownership of immovable property, the photograph and fingerprints of each buyer and seller must also be affixed. Form 32A is the proforma used for this.
For each person, a left thumb impression in black ink, a black and white passport-size photograph, and their name and permanent postal address. The form also has space for the signatures of the witnesses and the executants.
The form includes a declaration in which a buyer who is unable to attend names a representative to appear at registration. The buyer and the representative both sign the declaration.
A document may be presented by the executing or claiming party, or by an agent holding an attested power of attorney. If the claimant presents it, the executants must still appear to admit execution, unless they have given an attested power of attorney under Section 33 to do so on their behalf.
Ask the sub-registrar office where you are registering whether it needs the printed proforma or records the photographs and fingerprints another way.
